Well, do you know it's alright to yell at God, too? In fact, He is waiting for you to tell Him your troubles. You may have grown up with a traditional mindset that all prayer must be done on your knee...
Toolbox For Life
Author : Irene Kehler
“Life is hard, and then you die,” was my grandfather’s favorite saying. I learned many lessons from my grandfather. Growing up during the depression, his life was hard. He helped his widowed mother support the family of eight. He worked to construct the Alaska Highway during WWII since his German background prevented him going overseas. And he worked long hours at his machinist’s shop supporting his own growing family.
Yet, what I remember ab...

Walking Through the Storm Towards Your Miracle
Author : Ann Stewart
What is a miracle? If you stop and think about it, miracles are usually manifest in the midst of dire circumstances. In fact, you would not ask God for a miracle unless you or a loved one is facing a life and death situation, isn't that right? A miracle is perceived to be instantaneous. In the Gospels we see Jesus pronouncing a person to be made whole, and "poof" an instant miracle. If Jesus did it then, and you believe that He has been and is do...

How do you rise up after a fall? You know how easy it can be to trip and fall. Once you're down, it's not always easy to scramble to your feet or grab an extended hand to rise again. An emotional or spiritual fall can be just as sudden and painful as a physical one.
"The Lord upholdeth all that fall, and raiseth up all those that be bowed down." (Ps. 145:14) What caused you to fall? Maybe it was insecurity, fear or loneliness? You may feel th...

Love
Author : Kevin Clash
He may not look like it, but that Elmo's a love machine.
When parents tell me, "My child lives for Elmo," I tell them that Elmo lives because of their child's love for him. I don't just mean that Elmo is alive in their child's imagination, though that is certainly a part of it. That child and Elmo aren't just experiencing love; they're creating more of it to go around, and in doing so they make the world a better place.
It works like this: ...
